I'm often asked what I eat in a day and so I wanted to share my late-morning smoothie with you as I have found this to be my most important meal where I get the largest amount of daily nutritional requirements.
As the day progresses, I like to have the heaviest meal at lunch and a light dinner in preparation for my intermittent fasting cycle. My favorite way to make smoothies, soups and juices these days is with a vita mix so that I can leave the fiber in the smoothie.
GLOWING SKIN SMOOTHIE
2 cups organic no sugar almond milk
1 scoop "Garden Of Life" Protein powder or protein powder of choice
1 tablespoon organic SUPER GREENS powder of your choice
1/4 teaspoon organic moringa powder
1/4 cup wild blueberries
Half of an organic banana
1/4 cup organic coconut water or filtered water
6 large handfuls of spinach or kale
1 teaspoon of MCT Oil
1/4 Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
1/4 avocado or 1 tablespoon of almond butter (this will make your smoothie very creamy)
DESSERT SMOOTHIE POPSICLE
1 cup frozen organic berry blend (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries)
4 oz plain organic greek yogurt or vegan yogurt
1 cup almond milk
*place in Popsicle trays, freeze and enjoy.
DETOX SMOOTHIE (As shown in picture)
1/2 organic apple
6 stalks of celery
1 cup organic kale
1/2 organic peeled lemon
3 tablespoons flat leaf parsley (Thought to help rid the body of mercury)
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds or chia seeds
1 1/4 cups chilled water
*Note; if using a regular juicer you will need to add all of your ingredients individually through the juicer then add water or other liquids. If using the vitamix you can add all of your ingredients plus the liquids at the same time then blend.
